This page/app represents a unified calendar for all Brazilian Zouk classes, parties and festivals. And should give everyone easy access to see what is happening in Hamburg.
This page is designed as a progressive web app (PWA). That means, you can install it to your homescreen and it will behave kind-of like a regular installed app. I plan to include more features soon, that will levarge the possibilities of a PWA. My development is out in the open and you can check out the planned features and known bugs on the public trello board. The source code will also be open sourced, as soon as I have removed the cruft and made it a bit more presentable. :-)
I am software developer by trait and I love dancing and teaching Brazilian Zouk. So I wanted to leverage my skills and help everyone to keep track of all the multitude of opportunities to dance and learn Brazilian Zouk. And to give a platform for all the projects in Hamburg that want to bring Brazilian Zouk forward.
I previously created and sunsetted heutetanzen.de with creating a platform for all dances in Germany. That scope was to big in regards to marketing efforts and the amount of data that needed to be maintained. Also I was lately inspired by the fact that there is a forro app out there that is actively used to keep track of all the forro events in Hamburg.
If you want to help, feel free to contact me. If you can code in Elixir, are firm in Nuxt.js using TypeScript, if you have a knack for design or if you have other skills that you think could be useful. I'd love to make this a community effort. I am also open to any kind of feedback to improve this site.
